A typical KyoAni show.
‘Typical’ as in ‘average’.
‘Average’ as in ‘forgettable’.
Still, I quite enjoyed this pointless show despite its lack of plot and character development.
When we say ‘KyoAni’, we mean ‘moe’, and when we say ‘moe’, we most likely mean ‘KyoAni’.
Tamako Market is a K-On-like show (just look at the staff), but with quite an insipid set of characters. At first you might think there’s actually a story in this anime, but no, all outlines of plot simply fall apart after a couple of episodes and you are left to enjoy your normal slice-of-life KyoAni show, occasionally moving (the episode about Tamako’s daddy), occasionally funny (can’t really remember the best joke now, but there were a lot of scenes that made me smile), but overall boring unless you are a die-hard KyoAni fan.
It’s a shame they didn’t let any romance bloom anywhere, even though it wasn’t that hard to do.
The bird was plain annoying, from start to finish.
I loved OnnaD as the Florist Princess – my main reason for sticking with this show till the end xD
All in all, not the best KyoAni show; still, it’s watchable if you’re looking for something just cute that doesn’t make you think about anything at all.
